I immigrated to Canada in 1972 from the former Soviet Union.  In 1978 my husband and I wanted to purchase a house, together with my parents.  We asked Hebrew Free Loans (HFLA) for help to reduce the mortgage payments.  

Since then, we have become involved in helping the Russian Jewish community.  We referred many to HFLA for help with paying bills, and medical expenses, buying a home or helping their businesses.  We have endorsed many loans and helped many people.
